Message: Great hostel, even better location. Friendly and helpfull staff. The rooms are quite spacious and clean. The bathroom is shared between 8 rooms and is cleaned every day. After checkout it's posible to store your luggage. Will visit again.

Message: Well I have stayed in enough hostels around the US and have always read the reviews before making reservations, figured the least i could do is contribute to my fellow travelers and write my first review. Here Goes.... I Stayed at the Big Apple Hostel alone last month (Sept 18-20, 2013) for my birthday. Yes, that is right, I was in NYC, Alone, on my Birthday. Dont judge. :) I made sure to reserve my bed a few weeks ahead of time as it seems to fill up fast during the busy seasons. The location is PERFECT. Its located right in Time Square close to everything a first timer to NYC would ever need. Transportation system is superb. Its located about a block away from the subway and city buses run up and down time square. Theres bars, restaurants, shopping everywhere, you will not be bored! The rooms are standard, nothing special, but were clean and I was surprise to see when I walked in that my room had only 2 beds. I had thought it was a 8 female dorm but I only shared with one other traveler. Which was a young female from china I believe. The building is older but clean enough. No kitchen that I seen and the bathrooms on the floors are single bathrooms. I was up early enough so didnt have a problem waiting. All in all, I WILL be staying at this hostel again. Hopeing to visit for the christmas season. Looking up dates as we speak:) ** Would recommend this hostel to any of my close friends and family**. HMU with any questions.

Message: Well worth it for the amazing hotel staff, who always have a solution to any problem you my encounter. Always courteous, smiling and exceeding expectations! The rooms and bathrooms are basic but will satisfy any world traveler. The bed was a bit squeaky - which may have annoyed my roommate a bit - and thus I suggest a bit of WD40.. To be honest, the hotel staff, the free Wifi, and the absolutely AMAZING location is what would draw me back to this hostel. I had stayed with several over my time in NYC and there were some that were stunning but this one had the location and staff - and who really spends time in the hostel anyway, when you are in NEW YORK CITY! Oh and for a cheap delicious meal - ask the staff where the deli is ( its on the same block ). Lots of delicious food to chose from at a less then New Yorker price! I also would like to extend a kind regard to the staff as they resolved all issues I discussed with them. <3.

Message: Hostel is clean and comfortable. It's located in a perfect location, however it is a bit expensive for the services provided. There is no wi-fi in the rooms and there is a lack of a common area. The staff are friendly and helpful and overall I had an enjoyable stay.

Message: Spacious and good service. Enjoyable stay in the heart of NY. Only one shower on our floor but was in very good condition nonetheless. Great stay.
